Welcome to Sandalwood Lacrosse. Our second season is over and we had a lot of growing pains this year. This was the first year that lacrosse was recognized in Florida and was governed by the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Although we may be several years away from being able to compete with the top programs locally, we feel like we have come a long way since our inception, and as the sports gains momentum in the middle schools and play increases during summer and fall, we will only get better. If you would like to help by sponsoring the team, please contact the coach, Mike Monlezun at monlezunm@duvalschools.org to recieve a sponsorship form. Thanks to all who helped make our first 2 seasons a huge success!
Recent News Banquet - Apr 3, 2008Our post season banquet will be held on Friday, May 9th. Please mark the date on your calendar and we will see you then. Please be patient while our schedule gets revised. All playing dates will remain the same. Due to conflicts with officials, many of our games will be moved up to 5pm. Use what has now been updated as a general guideline, but check back closer to each game for a more updated time. Collegiate Lacrosse Comes to Town! - Jan 19, 2008 Mark your calendars for all day, Saturday, February 16th to see two very talented and top ranked teams in men's Division I lacrosse. Delaware (preseason #14) and UMBC (preseason #15) play at Fletcher High School at noon. They will be followed by a women's game (Pfeiffer University [NC] and Rollins College [Orlando, FL]) at 3pm. This is a benefit for Wounded Warrior, with most proceeds going to them. Several schools, including Sandalwood are selling tickets for the face value of $15, $5 of which stays with our lacrosse program. Contact any Sandalwood coach or player for tickets, and if you are not near Sandalwood, check with your local favorite school to see if they are selling them and, if not, go to JaxLax for tickets. Season Opener coming soon! - Jan 19, 2008 We will host Fletcher on Monday, February 4th. We hope to have a GREAT showing of fans to kick off the season! Fletcher brings a talented team that is well coached and we hope that this friendly rivalry has a lot of action for you. Please come out and support Sandalwood Lacrosse and help us get our season off to a successful start. 2008 Preparations Underway - Oct 31, 2007 We are gearing up for the 2008 season now. Conditioning will start on November 26 (Monday after Thanksgiving). Remember, ALL required forms MUST be turned in PRIOR to ANY activity.
